Massage is an ideal treat to aid relaxation, being able to relax is something that many of us forget to do these days, mainly due to our hectic lifestyles trying to juggle too many things at once.
There are many reasons why you could benefit from a massage treatment, some of which are listed below:

Your massage therapist should go through a consultation with you prior to your treatment and you need to as honest as possible with them in regards to your medical history and current medication as massage may have an adverse effect and would not be beneficial for you at that time, no therapist would want to make you unwell.
There are different types of massage however, the more common treatments are
Swedish: A variety of movements including kneading, stroking, vibrations, deep circling movements and tapping to help relaxation and reduce tension in the muscle tissues.
Hot stones: lovely massage treatment using basalt stones warmed in a bath to a cosy temperature and then gently massaged around your body, the heat encourages muscle relaxation as the heat penetrates deeper into the muscle tissues.
